The Win % and SoR are really a guide. I use them in two ways. They help me eliminate horses that have a very little chance of winning in seconds. They also show me races that are extremely competitive.

Here is an example of a race at Del Mar recently in which I spread out and got a price. Top win percentage was 47%, he was a horse that needed the lead and was mired in the rail. The rest of the field was 2-7% win. I knew if he got beat I was going to get a big price, so I looked at who was coming out of the best races by sorting the SoR and being a sprint race, who was going to get the best trip.

The favorite had a horrible trip and I got a nice payout.
